Our History
The McInnis Insurance Agency, Inc. was formed in 1924 by John L. McInnis. The agency provided personal and commercial insurance to the citizens and businesses in Webster, Claiborne, and Bienville Parishes. In 1945, John's two sons, Harry and John, Jr., stepped into management positions and guided the agency through its next growth phase.
Word began to spread regarding the agency's reputation for integrity and genuine concern for clients. From 1945 to 1973, the agency experienced the addition of many of the top carriers to its marketing portfolio and saw its client base spread to all areas of the state.
In 1973, Harry's son, Philip, took the reins of the agency and led the way for the next period of growth. Philip remains the President of the Agency and is still very active with the day to day operations. Under Philip's leadership, the agency's client base has expanded into Texas and Arkansas for both personal and commercial lines of business. The agency has recently added Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee to its growing service area.
The agency is continually developing ways to better serve its personal and commercial clients. The list of carriers that have partnered with the McInnis Insurance Agency brings the best of financial security and dependability to its thousands of personal and commercial clients. Forming Lasting friendships and earning each client's trust continues to be the cornerstone of the agency.
